I can't see well today. my prescription is not correct. when i called to tell my eye doctor, the receptionist said, no I'm sure it's right...to which i replied, then why can't i see.? anyhow, my doctor called me back and ordered new contacts. in the mean time, i'm squinting at everyone.....
so in the midst of my squinting, i pull into the gym today behind a mini-van. lo and behold, there is a licensce plate cover with my alma maters name. random. why? because i went to college 14 hours from here in a tiny town with one flashing light. no stop light.
so i kinda stalked her. me and my squinty eyes, i kept looking around for anyone i might recognize, a mom type person..no success...in addition, the squinting was scaring people.
as i left the gym, i notice a mom w/ 3 kids. yep that's her. so we had a quick reunion in the parking lot. it was fun, her dad was/is the VP at good ole TU. So it was great. however, last week i also found out that someone i've known for atleast a year at our church also is a TU grad. Small world I tell ya... small world.... good thing i could atleast read the licensce plate.
i love reunions. weird; but i love how small the world is.
