Sweet Child of Mine

One of my favorite's...to kick off the Trip down Memory Lane:

Yes, it's Guns and Roses and I doubt I was allowed to listen to them in high school...or was I in elementary school when this came out? I have Sheryl Crow singing it in my MP3 player right now...

Sweet Child of Mine.

She's got a smile that it seems to me
Reminds me of childhood memories
Where everything
Was as fresh as the bright blue sky
Now and then when I see her face
She takes me away to that
special place
And if I stared too long
I'd probably break down and cry

Sweet child o' mine
Sweet love of mine

She's got eyes of the bluest skies
As if they thought of rain
I hate to look into those eyes
And see an ounce of pain
Her hair reminds me
of a warm safe place
Where as a child I'd hide
And pray for the thunder
And the rain
To quietly pass me by

Sweet child o' mine
Sweet love of mine

Where do we go
Where do we go now
Where do we go
Sweet child o' mine

How old ARE you??? I was in college when this came out. 1988 was the year, I believe. Nice to write an entire blog about one of your favorite songs, a lovely little ditty about breaking up with your girlfriend because you are a total jerk. You realize that, right??? Still, nice memories of Axl and the crab dance.
